Summary: The Lodge is well located in the centre of the Yosemite Valley and provide immediate access to the valley and walks in the area. If you need to use the Yosemite Shuttle, it stops at the hotel, but due to the low season we had no issues parking around the valley. The lodge itself is very basic and old, very dingy even with the lights on and had an odd smell. They are due for a renovation but I guess this keeps their prices low. Once you step outside it does have amazing views of the mountains and Bridalveil Falls. In the summer you could sit outside the room and enjoy the views. The facilities around the lodge are fine but could definitely be improved. There is the canteen which was not the most inviting place to be. Food mediocre and expensive. There is a bar which had the fire on and everyone there seemed happier. The restaurant was quiet but food better.
