Positive: Hotel staff are very friendly. The petit dejeuner (breakfast) spread is EXCELLENT and highly recommended so that you don't have to waste time searching for less desirable alternatives; it included sliced meats and cheeses, breads and pastries with jams and honey, dried and fresh fruit, some granola stuff and yogurt and cherry tomatoes, juices, coffee and tea. The room was clean and comfortable and the street quiet. It's a short stroll from the Place d'Italie metro stop (a great location for those visiting the Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle). Truly excellent value for cost.

Negative: The bathroom facilities in my room were older and had tolerable quirks or flaws. Notably, the bathtub/shower was higher or higher-walled than usual, and the only thing handy to hang on to when you step out is the freely swinging half-door. It was fine for me, but might be difficult or hazardous for an elderly person with poor mobility.

Summary: Affordable small hotel with comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and a great breakfast option.
