Summary: The drive up to the lodge was beautiful. We passed the chickens and goats on the way. The grounds are vast, creating a quiet, enchanting atmosphere. We were reserved for a 2nd floor room but requested a change to 1st floor after we arrived. The office was closed but there was an after hours number we could call. They switched our room without any problem and the staff (Tina, I think?) was so pleasant and accommodating. Our room was SPOTLESS and so well decorated, we felt like we hit the jackpot. Check in and check out was electronic, so very easy, not time consuming at all. We loved our stay so much, we're worried no other place on our trip will quite measure up. We started with the best!!
