Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: This hotel is absolutely wonderful and perfectly located right next to the river, with beautiful views. On check-in, the receptionist was very courteous and gave us helpful local information. Our room was lovely, spotless, and very comfortable. The bathroom (toilet and shower) was immaculate, and we couldn’t fault the room at all. It was beautifully decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bar and lounge area was great, with plenty of entertainment and a strong drinks selection. We played pool and darts with other guests while enjoying the music. The food menu is one of the best I’ve seen in a long time, with an excellent mix of local and international dishes. My wife ordered the steak and kidney pudding and I had the chicken tikka curry. Both were delicious. The only negative was the wait time (around 40 minutes), but it was very busy and understandable. In the morning, we joined another table of guests for breakfast and everyone enjoyed it. There was a great selection. My wife had the French omelette and I had the English breakfast. Both were perfect. A big thank you to the hotel manager and all the staff for such a wonderful stay. We would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back.
