Hurricane Helene Update: The Cozy Cottage survived the hurricane! There are some minor repairs that need to be done but otherwise we are very lucky. There is power, internet, and water at the property and we are accepting reservations.

Summary: The property was very cute and well located for our activities in Black Mountain and Pisgah National Forest and Ashville. It was much larger than I had expected.A couple of things:1) The contact phone number on the house instructions form (615-200-7766) took me to a person who is a property manager in Tennessee. Our inbound flight was delayed significantly and I wanted to contact someone to let them know. So, from what I had, there was not way to contact the property owner/manager except through the VRBO site or app. A phone number would have helped for texting.2) The turquoise mailbox has been knocked over so is very difficult to see from the road, especially in poor light or the dark.3) The recent rains had caused the vegetation around the front porch and back yard to be overgrown. A haircut would help.
