Summary: Hotel Nash was a *bit* of a surprise. While the service was very helpful and kind, it's definitely not a typical American hotel. When we arrived, we had to ring the doorbell to be let in, and walked through a restaurant to get to the elevator. The hotel in general is quite old, and although they have made efforts to keep it clean, it just has a dilapidated feeling to it - there was a blocked window in our bathroom that did not close and leaked cold air, there was chipping paint in the bathtub, exposed wiring, etc. The room even lacked bedside outlets to charge our phones overnight and only one side of the bed had a nightstand. Most concerning was that when we entered the room, windows had been left ajar that opened to a fire escape - we could have walked in to someone lying in wait - as a woman traveling with her young daughter, I consider this a safety issue. Our room was next to a room full of young adults who were loud/partying late into the night - didn't even try to take action, as I saw a sign at the front desk giving a phone number to call if you needed anything at night. If no one is on-site, why would I wake someone else up to help?
