Summary: A very comfortable house with space to relax and unwind. We enjoyed the quiet and shaded garden. The TV, sofas, and soft furnishings meant relaxing evenings, we enjoyed the table football as well. Overall the house was very well equipped. It's a relaxed rather than glossy vibe, one or two very small bits of maintenance needed but overall this house has a real charm and comfort level. We slept well. The house is set away from the road/behind a small bar-tabac, so not on the main street. No parking directly outside but the car was fine in the free parking area a short distance away. Hericy is well positioned for Fontainebleau, the forest activities, and we found kayaking and swimming in Samoreau; we also easily went to Paris for a day on the train. Highly recommended for a beautiful, relaxing holiday, with many activities and the wonderful Foret de Fontainebleau close by. Communication with the owner/manager was easy and worked well, in French and good English :).
