Summary: The Premier Etage on Rue Joubert is in such an amazing location, only two RER stops from Gare Du Nord (so handy for CDG) and so handy for the Grand Magasins (Galleries Lafayette, Printemp) and Opera Garnier. It is also 3 minutes walk from a Metro stop which will take to to the Grand Palais, Le Louvre, etc etc. The apartments are superbly clean, and super easy to access with key codes, no need to be fumbling for hotel cards. The staff is really super helpful. The breakfast is super generous, I hate food waste so I asked them to bring me less after the first day. The room I had (room 6) was a good size, though the shower is in the bedroom and in a separate bathroom, which I am not keen on, but I should have paid more attention when booking. The rooms and communal areas are well decorated, with quirky little decorations from some high end brands like Astaire de Villiette. There is a small kitchen, equipped with tea, coffee machine, microwave and kettle and some little sweet treats. You can get to the apartments by a small flight or stairs or a lift. You have to step over the bottom part of the door as you enter the courtyard so it may not be suitable for people with limited mobility. There was also a step in the bedroom, between the area of the room with the sink and shower and the area with the bed. Overall I would rate Premier Etage very highly for location, cleanliness, decor, staff and breakfast.
